T(ea) is for Teachers • Tech Trek Fundraiser

Have you thanked a teacher lately?

girl under letter T

We trust teachers to manage the very important education of our children. They work long hours, manage multiple kids, appreciate the help they get from parents their administration, but can you ever say thank you enough??

We encourage you to thank a teacher by sponsoring them to attend an appreciation tea, May 23rd, from 4-5:30 pm at Monticello Bistro. This sponsorship will contribute to a scholarship for a 7th grade girl to attend AAUW's Tech Trek, a science and math camp for girls at UC Davis.

We’ve combined this appreciation with this fundraiser to help the efforts of teachers be realized in these young girls by providing them hands on experience in science, technology, engineering and math.

For $10, you can send a notice of appreciation and invitation to a special teacher or teachers to say a simple "thank you". You can customize this with your own message or as you choose.

There is no limit to the number of invitations a teacher can receive, and there is no limit to the number of times you can say "thank you".

Invitations are for teachers only to honor them with a special high tea hosted by AAUW-Davis and Monticello Bistro. If they cannot attend, they will still receive a special appreciation card and their principal will be notified that they’ve been acknowledged.

You can attend the event as a well-wisher to support our teachers for a $30 donation. You can enjoy tea and goodies and thank your teacher(s) in person. Just check the box on the "thank you" form and include the additional $30 donation. You will receive an email reminder about the event as it gets closer.

Space is limited. We kindly request completed invitations by May 18th.
